My girlfriend works at a veterinary clinic. Every day, they calculated medication dosages for dogs and cats using massive Excel spreadsheets pinned to a desktop computer. I built dosisberegner.dk to put those formulas in their pockets — available on any phone, anywhere.
It started with a simple frustration. The veterinary team needed dosage calculations constantly — during appointments, in surgery, on house calls. But the formulas lived in Excel files on one computer at the clinic. If you were away from that desk, you were guessing or calling a colleague. For medication dosages, guessing isn't an option.
A clean, mobile-first web app with all the common medication formulas for dogs and cats. Select the animal, the medication, enter the weight — get the correct dosage instantly. No login, no installation, no clutter. Just the information they need, the moment they need it. Built with Next.js and designed to load fast on any phone, even on slow clinic WiFi.
This wasn't a side project looking for a problem. The problem was already there — real people wasting real time, every single day. The value wasn't in fancy features. It was in taking something locked to a desktop and making it available everywhere. Sometimes the most impactful software is the simplest.
